Founded in 1962 by artists who sought a way to communicate with other artists and be of service in the arts, the Las Cruces Arts Association forms the backbone of art in the Mesilla Valley.  Several of the group’s earliest members remain active today.  Through the years members have formed three other major local arts organizations as well as a number of smaller, less formal ones.  Member artists participate in regional and local exhibits, fairs, service projects and  art galleries throughout New Mexico and the Southwest.
